Raleigh Firefighters Clean Up Gas Spill

Posted Updated

RALEIGH, N.C. — Raleigh firefighters have spent hours cleaning up a gasoline spill that shut down an intersection.

A delivery truck was filling up the tanks at a BP station at Wake Forest Road and Six Forks.

The tanks overflowed and spilled about 65 gallons of gasoline.

Firefighters worked to contain the spill to keep it from reaching a nearby creek.

Officials said that a small amount of gas reached Crabtree Creek, but that it was not enough to cause environmental damage.
