WILSON, N.C. — A Wilson man is charged with scamming people out of thousands of dollars.
Otis Carter, 53, is accused of conning 10 people out of $356,000 in an investment scheme.
Victims say he claimed to sell large blocks of stock for a fraction of the price before it was sold to the public.
Carter is in the Wake County jail on a $250,000 bond.
