Second Suspect In Southpoint Shooting In Custody

DURHAM, N.C. — A second man accused in a deadly shooting at The Streets at Southpoint Mall on Monday night is behind bars.

Police said Barry Evans, 22, of Durham, turned himself in at the Durham County Jail on Wednesday evening.

Julius Gray, 24, of Raleigh, is also in custody.

Both men are charged in the murder of Harvey Wiggins, 23.

Police said Wiggins was shot in the head inside Gray's vehicle in the parking lot behind Southpoint Cinema.

Investigators think the shooting was part of drug deal.
