FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A Fayetteville police dog missing for nearly three weeks was found Monday.
Mira, the police dog who works with Officer George Blanco, was found on River Road in Fayetteville around 5:30 p.m. Monday.
Mira, who was missing since Nov. 10, has lost some weight, but is in relatively good health.
Mira is a drug dog with the police department and can't have puppies. She only understands commands spoken in Dutch and isn't house-trained.
The department has invested about $9,000 in Mira. Blanco offered a personal reward for her return. Mira is one of 11 Fayetteville police dogs.
