Fire Damages Units Of Raleigh Apartment Building

RALEIGH, N.C. — Investigators say an electrical shortage is the cause of an early-morning apartment fire in Raleigh.

Fire broke out just after 1 a.m. Monday at the Montecito West Apartments on Hardimount Road.

Officials believe the fire started in the attic of one unit and damaged 16 units.

No one was hurt.

The Red Cross was called to the scene to provide assistance to those who are displaced.
