Police identify victim, second suspect in Fayetteville shooting
Four men are wanted in connection with theslaying of James Farrior, who was shot on the street Tuesday afternoon.
Posted — UpdatedFayetteville police on Friday secured a warrant for the arrest of Andrew Delroy Bentinck, 19, of the 200 block of Tiffany Court, Fayetteville. He is charged with first-degree murder, assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury and robbery with a dangerous weapon.
Detectives are still searching for the first suspect, Stanley Armando Generette, 30, of the 600 block of Walker Street, Fayetteville. Generette faces the same charges as Bentinck.
Detectives are also working to identify two other men wanted in connection with the case.
The shooting happened about 3:30 p.m. between two businesses on Ramsey Street. A nearby business owner told police that he heard gunshots, then one of the two victims came into the store for help.
“He was shot two times,” said Shukri Al Gahim, who owns a tobaco shop near the intersection of Ramsey Street and Rosehill Road.
The other victim tried to flee in his car but crashed a short time later.
Police on Friday also released the names of the victims. James Farrior, 28, was killed in the shooting; Gary T. Jones, 29, was injured.
Anyone with information on Generette’s whereabouts is asked to call 911.
