Magnet School Fair Draws A Crowd

Posted Updated

RALEIGH — Thousands of parents and students stopped by Southeast Raleigh High School on Saturday to learn about magnet programs at Wake County's magnet school fair.

The annual event gives parents a chance to chat with teachers about area programs. There are 50 magnet schools in Wake County.

School administrators say magnet schools give students hands-on experiences in technology, science and the arts. More than 5,000 people attended this year's fair.
