RALEIGH, N.C. — Due to expected high voter turnout on Election Day, all Wake County Public Schools will be delayed by two hours on Tuesday.
Fifty-four Wake County schools serve as voting sites.
Polls open at 6:30 a.m. and close at 7:30 p.m.
This is a break from recent practice when students got Election Day off in Presidential election years.
Students in Cumberland, Durham and Orange counties and Chapel Hill-Carrboro school systems will get Tuesday off.
