Thieves Target Fayetteville 'Bike Man'

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — He has been giving out free bikes for years. Now, someone is just taking them.

Moses Mathis, known as the "

bicycle man

" in Fayetteville, says someone broke into his warehouse five times since January.

The robbers stole bikes he hoped to give to needy children at Christmas time.

Police gave Mathis tips on how to better secure his building. In the meantime, they will increase patrols.
