Cary Hit-And-Run Suspect Arrested
Cary, N.C. — Cary police took a man into custody Wednesday evening after he allegedly plowed into six vehicles and kept going.
Authorities said the man, whose name was not released Wednesday night, was driving a car that hit a pickup truck at about 6:30 p.m. on North Harrison Avenue near Interstate 40.
The pickup truck flipped on its side, and the car kept going and hit another vehicle before briefly catching fire.
The driver allegedly hit four other vehicles in Cary earlier in the evening, authorities said.
Police said the car and the suspected driver were found about a mile down the road at the entrance to Umstead State Park.
Authorities would not say what charges, if any, the driver faces.
There were no major injuries reported from any of the wrecks.
