Police Search For Suspect In Shooting Of 7-Year-Old

RALEIGH — Raleigh police have named a suspect in the shooting of a 7-year-old Raleigh girl.

They are trying to find Marcus Rashad Owens of Raleigh. Owens, 17, is charged with assault and firing into an occupied property.

Melissa Torres, of 3011 Boone Trail, was shot when a stray bullet went through her second-floor bedroom window Tuesday night. Torres was in good condition Tuesday night at WakeMed.
