RALEIGH, N.C. — A New York man arrested in Fayetteville Monday morning is recovering at a Raleigh hospital.
Officers said Miguel Carrasquillo either jumped or fell from a patrol car along Interstate 40 Tuesday as he was being taken to Raleigh-Durham International Airport.
Carrasquillo was recaptured and taken to WakeMed. He is listed in fair condition.
New York authorities say Carrasquillo kidnapped his wife and shot her co-worker.
Carrasquillo was arrested by Fayetteville police at the Greyhound bus terminal.
