Sarah Ferguson made an appearance at the North Raleigh Hilton to discuss her personal battle with her weight and to congratulate fellow Weight Watchers on their successes.

About 600 people attended with a combined weight loss of more than 8,000 pounds.

Ferguson is a Weight Watchers spokeswoman.
