LITTLETON, N.C. — A stabbing incident involving two teenagers Wednesday ended with one of them in a hospital and the other in secured custody.
According to investigators, the incident happened around 3 p.m. in a student parking lot at Northwest High School, shortly after school had ended. A 14-year-old male stabbed a 17-year-old male in the chest with a knife.
The victim, identified as Dominique Richardson, was reported to be in stable condition at Halifax Regional Medical Center.
The suspect, who faces charges of assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury, was taken to a juvenile detention center. His name was not released.
The suspect's 16-year-old brother reportedly was a witness to the event.
