Braddy Receives Suspended Sentence

HOBGOOD, N.C. — A 16-year-old boy has recieved a suspended sentence for setting off blasting caps at a Halifax County Elementary School.

James Braddy pleaded guilty Tuesday to larceny and trespassing charges.

Investigators said Braddy and two 14-year-olds set off the caps on the playground at the Hobgood Academy playground.

Braddy also must pay restitution to the school.
