  • Breaking News:  Raleigh police charged three people Tuesday in connection with the death of Melissa Dawn Huggins-Jones, a 30-year-old woman who was found covered in blood inside her apartment near North Hills May 14. Ronald Lee Anthony, Sarah Rene Redden and Travian Devonte Smith were taken into custody Tuesday afternoon in Wake Forest. All three have been charged with murder, police said.

Lumberton Convenience Store Manager Shot To Death

LUMBERTON, N.C. — State Bureau of Investigation agents are looking for the men who killed a convenience store manager over the weekend.

Authorities say the men robbed the Texaco Food Mart in Lumberton on Saturday.

During the crime, investigators say one of the men shot the manager, Robert Woodell, four times. He died at the scene.
