Michelle Theer went before the judge Friday for a pre-trial hearing, but her lawyers want the judge to suppress a list of evidence in the case. Both sides agreed to meet back in court on July 19.
Police say Theer and her lover, Army Sgt. John Diamond conspired to kill her husband, Air Force Capt. Marty Theer, in December 2000.
Marty Theer was shot to death at Dr. Tom Harbin's office in Fayetteville, where Michelle Theer worked as a psychologist.
"Marty was a fine individual and a fine Air Force officer and didn't do anything to justify what happened to him," Harbin said.
Diamond is now serving a life sentence for the murder.
After she was indicted for the murder, Michelle Theer became a fugitive, leaving for Florida. Authorities said she had plastic surgery, cut and colored her hair and used different names like Lexi Solomon and Liza Pendragon.
In her apartment, authorities found books on how to hide in America and information on Mexico.
"It's really a sad case. You have a young man who is 31 years of age, who is a Air Force Academy graduate starting a fantastic career and all of a sudden, his life is gone," court spectator Richard Alligood said. "You have a wife who is quite educated, yet she is now accused of murder.
