3 Women Face Attempted Armed Robbery Charges in Durham

Three women are accused of attempting to rob another woman at gunpoint in Durham.

DURHAM, N.C. — Durham police arrested three women Wednesday night and charged them with attempting to rob a woman at gunpoint on Ninth Street.

According to police, a 23-year-old woman told officers she was taking laundry out of her Ninth Street home at around 9:25 p.m. when three females armed with guns approached her and demanded her car keys.

Police said one woman stuck a shotgun in the victim’s stomach, but she refused to give up the keys and the suspects fled on foot.

Police located three women matching the description of the suspects a few minutes later on Iredell Street.

Jalisa Tyshae Goggins, 18, of Broad Street, Ashley Adell Mills, 17, of Denver Avenue and Krystal Kenyatta Patterson, 23, of Crestview Drive were arrested and charged with attempted armed robbery.

Bond for each suspect was set at $35,000.
