Deadbeat Parents On Notice In Durham County

DURHAM COUNTY, N.C. — Dozens of people in Durham County who owe back child support were summoned to court on Wednesday.

The delinquent parents were given a chance to either work out their debts or arrange a court date.

The county summoned nearly 700 deadbeat parents. Clerks estimate about 200 people showed up.

Wednesday's child support roundup was the largest in Durham County history.
