FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Festival Park planners dropped a plan to build a 400-foot tower in downtown Fayetteville.
The group claims the plans for the tower were becoming too divisive.
Planners are going back to a plan to add a water feature to the park and a display of flags from different countries.
The city council will hold a public hearing on the revised plan at its July meeting.
