ROLESVILLE, N.C. — Not many students will brag that they got D's on high school graduation day, but Abria Williams walked away with two – a diploma and a dad.

The 18-year-old Wake Forest-Rolesville High School senior never met her father, Antonio Milindez, until Friday.

In fact, the two never knew the other existed until Williams, with hints from her mother, found him through Facebook in January.

Milindez is a military contractor living in Kuwait and never knew about Williams.

Already the father of three girls – two in high school and one in college – he immediately embraced the idea of not only gaining a fourth daughter but a grandson, born in April, as well.

Their first hug on Friday lingered. The tears fell from both their eyes. They both agreed, they couldn't think of a happier day.

Williams and her son will now spend some quality vacation time with her new-found family.

She says she hopes to go to college and be a great mother.
