Posted Updated

RALEIGH, N.C. — A visiting judge from Alamance County ruled that DNA testing should move forward in a high-profile case in Johnston County.

George Goode is one of three suspects convicted in the 1992 stabbing deaths of Leon and Margaret Batten. His defense lawyers and prosecutors are battling over the validity of blood evidence.

There will be another hearing when the results come back.
