Nash County Jail To Get New Locks

Posted Updated

NASH COUNTY, N.C. — Nash County commissioners are taking steps to prevent a jail escape.

The board approved a request Monday night to buy new locks for the county jail, but it is going to take up to five months to get them all installed.

Jailers say inmates are blowing fuses by snatching the cells open.

The new locks will cost more than $200,000.
