Police Seek Suspect In Durham Bank Robbery

DURHAM, N.C. — Authorities are looking for a suspect in connection with a Durham bank robbery.

Police say a suspect entered the Wachovia bank, located at 4709 Hope Valley Road, with a handgun around 9:23 a.m. Tuesday. He reportedly made threats and demanded money.

The suspect is described as a 6-foot to 6-foot-3 black male with slender-build, He reportedly wore a black cloth bag with no eyeholes over his face, one white glove and one black glove, a white, long-sleeve T-shirt with a diamond pattern on the front and blue sweat pants with light stripes on the sides of the legs. He was armed with a small black revolver with a worn finish.

The suspect was last seen running behind a True Value hardware store. Officials said the suspect did get an undetermined amount of money from the bank.
