RALEIGH, N.C. — A former state employee faces insurance fraud charges.
Denise Hargove, 37, is accused of stealing nearly $170,000 in fake disability claims. Investigators believe she even faked the letterhead of a doctor and lawyer.
Hargrove used to work in the Department of Transportation. She faces five fraud and forgery charges.
The Wake County district attorney's office is handling the case.
