DURHAM, N.C. — The Waffle House on Highway 55 in Durham was the scene of an armed robbery Sunday morning, and an employee was hit by a gunshot.
Durham police said an assailant fired a shot that ricocheted off a locked box and struck a female employee in the back. She was taken to Duke with non-life threatening injuries.
Four employees were inside at the time.
Police are still looking for the suspects.There has been no word on how many suspects were involved, or how much money was taken.
