Cumberland School Officials Will Not Press Charges In Fake Kidnapping Stunt
Posted — UpdatedCUMBERLAND COUNTY, N.C. — Cumberland County school leaders will not press charges against the deputies who faked a kidnapping.
In March, Donald Schwab Jr. and Curtis Wells grabbed a child they knew and left Brentwood Elementary School.
The deputies were reportedly trying to prove a point about the school's lack of security.
Neither deputy was on duty at the time. Both of them resigned earlier in the week.
