DURHAM, N.C. — A pedestrian killed on Highway 54 Saturday evening has been identified.
Officials say George Goodburn of Pataskala, Ohio, was crossing Highway 54 near Falconbridge Road when he was struck by a Chevy Tahoe struck around 7:30 p.m. He died at the scene.
Traffic in the westbound lanes was tied up for about three hours.
No charges have been filed against the driver.
