Apex Post Office Reopens After Brief Shutdown

APEX, N.C. — A suspicious package was reported Wednesday morning at the Apex Post Office located at 501 W. Williams Street, but officials said the package contained sand.

The building was shut down briefly and Haz-mat crews were called to the scene.

After crews determined there was no danger, the post office reopened a short time later.
