WARREN COUNTY, N.C. — The legal fight between a Warren County commissioner and two local newspapers appears to be over.
A judge dismissed a libel lawsuit Monday against County Commissioner Luke Lucas.
Robert Lowery filed the countersuit against Lucas over a critical letter.
Lucas withdrew his initial lawsuit against the papers in February. There is no word why Lucas changed his mind.
Lowery has 30 days to appeal the ruling.
