CARY, N.C. — The state Department of Transportation will change a stretch of road that has had its share of accidents.
Crews will build a traffic island on Walnut Street across from Cary High School. A study showed the area had more accidents than any other Cary high school.
Last October, Kristina Grahn was hurt in a hit-and-run at the crosswalk.
Grahn has since recovered from her injuries. The driver was never found.
