GOLDSBORO, N.C. — Goldsboro police say the death of a pedestrian struck at the intersection of Ash and Taylor streets Tuesday was an accident.
Investigators said John Kuczka, 32, of Goldsboro, was traveling west on Ash Street in his Jeep Cherokee when he hit pedestrian Mark Allen Bunch, 30, of Goldsboro.
Police said Bunch was struck as he stepped off the curb and died at the scene.
Police said the incident happened so quickly, Kuczka did not have time to react. No charges will be filed
