YMCA Fences Off Site Of Wake Deputy's Murder

print friendly

The Triangle YMCA wants to keep people away from the scene of a deputy's murder.

The YMCA, which owns the land, fenced off the entrance to the area in Wake County where Deputy Mark Tucker was found shot to death in February. Officials said they put up the fence to keep cars from going in and out.

Matthew Grant, 18, said he panicked and shot Tucker.

Investigators said Grant's two friends -- Justin Franke and Lawson Rankin -- helped him hide the murder weapon and create an alibi.
