Harnett Woman Charged In Pit Bull Attack

Posted Updated

HARNETT COUNTY, N.C. — A Harnett County woman has been charged in a pit bull attack that killed her 3-year-old son.

Christy Gambill has been out of the state since the attack. Sheriff's deputies believe she was in Texas.

Officers found Nathan Roy Hill's body in January next to his neighbor's chained-up pit bull.

Gambill is due in court April 1. If convicted, she could be sentenced to probation or community service.
