Teen Held On Bond In Connection With Shooting Of Durham Motorist

DURHAM, N.C. — The teen accused of shooting a passing motorist was in court Wednesday.

A judge placed 17-year old Richard Williams under a $50,000 bond. Police said Williams

shot a woman in the head Tuesday

as she passed through the intersection of Old Oxford Highway and Dearborn Drive in Durham.

She managed to drive to the nearby Lakeview School for help.

Police still have not released the victim's name. She is a teacher's assistant at the school.

Her injuries are not life threatening.
