RALEIGH, N.C. — Snow may be back in the forecast for parts of the WRAL viewing area.
A winter storm watch is in effect for central North Carolina from Thursday afternoon through Friday morning.
Wintry precipitation is expected to spread across central North Carolina from the south Thursday morning with precipitation intensity increasing Thursday afternoon Thursday and continuing throughout the night.
Weather officials caution that the storm is still evolving and there is some uncertainty about the exact track of the system and its precipitation pattern.
