HALIFAX COUNTY, N.C. — A 10-year-old boy who was accidentally shot and killed by his brother was laid to rest Monday.
Halifax County investigators said Nicholas Evans was playing with a shotgun last week when he shot his brother, Damian.
Evans' 8-year-old cousin was also critically injured.
The district attorney has not decided whether to file charges against Nicholas' parents for failing to secure the gun.
