HENDERSON, N.C. — A teenager in Henderson died when he lost control of his pick-up truck on a slick road Thursday morning.
The Highway Patrol said Brian Waddell, 19, was traveling east on Vicksboro Road around 9:51 a.m. when his truck crossed the center line, overturned and went into a ditch.
Waddell was thrown from the vehicle, which landed on him.The Southern Vance High School student died at the scene.
The Highway Patrol said weather was a factor in the crash.
