RALEIGH, N.C. — A second trial is under way in Wake County for a man accused of shooting a Raleigh restaurant worker to death two years ago.
Deon Partridge, 23, is accused of killing a cook at the Sonic Drive-in on Atlantic Avenue during a robbery.
Partridge was first tried in August 2003, but the judge declared a mistrial after a key investigator in the case committed suicide.
Three other people are charged in the murder. At least two of them are expected to testify against Partridge.
