FurnitureLand Ready to Move Into New Warehouse

Posted Updated

HIGH POINT — Retailer FurnitureLand South will begin moving into a new 15 million dollar warehouse Tuesday.

The retailer will have 230 workers begin the month-long process of transferring 50,000 pieces of furniture worth 22 million dollars onto 86 aisles of storage racks. There will be another 230 workers inspecting and preparing the furniture pieces for shipment.

The warehouse took three years to complete. The Jamestown business, which did nearly 200 million dollars in sales last year, says it combined seven warehouses into the new facility to improve efficiency.
