Inmate Died Of Brain Aneurysm, Couldn't Have Been Saved

RALEIGH, N.C. — A medical examiner's report shows an inmate whodied in the Wake County jail last weekend couldn't have been saved.

According to the report, Timothy Perry died of a brain aneurysm.

Perry was in jail for failing to pay child support.

Investigators said on Saturday that Perry complained of aheadache and jailers gave him medication. When he started having aseizure later in the day, workers took him to the hospital.

He died Sunday afternoon.

A Wake County sheriff's major said jail staff followed protocoland did everything they could to help Perry.
