AdvantageWest To Host Multi-State Economic Summit

ASHEVILLE, N.C. — Business, education and government leaders from five states will gather Nov. 17 in Asheville for a

regional conference

focused on entrepreneurship and innovation.

The fourth annual event being put on by the economic development group Advantage West will draw participants from North Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. South Carolina and Kentucky are being added this year for the first time.

The conference is now called the “Five State Economic Summit.” It will take place at the Grove Park Inn Resort & Spa.

Anne Pope, co-chair of the Appalachian Regional Commission, is the keynote speaker.

Presentations also will be made by entrepreneurial organizations and angel investor networks as well as by several university chancellors.
