Red Hat Picks San Diego For Next 'Summit'

RALEIGH, N.C. — Red Hat

will host its third annual “Summit” in San Diego, Calif., the company announced Monday.

The conference, which will focus on the latest developments in Red Hat Linux and open source software, is set for May 9-11 at the Sheraton San Diego Hotel and Marina.

The previous two summits were held in New Orleans and Nashville, Tenn.

As the new owner of JBoss, Red Hat will also host the JBoss World conference in 2007. Dates have not yet been set.

Red Hat will also put on a conference for Fedora users. The “FUDCON” is designed to help counter fear, uncertainty and doubt created about open source software. The dates have not been set.

Later this month, Red Hat will have a forum as part of the JBoss World 2006 conference in Berlin. That event runs Nov. 20-22.
