Cary Rates Among Safest U.S. Cities

CARY, N.C. — Cary is holding on to its title as one of the safest cities of its size in the country.
Morgan Quitno Press ranked Cary the eighth-safest city overall. No North Carolina city ranked higher.
Raleigh is the next highest at 162nd, while Durham came in at 272nd and Fayetteville was at 288th. Charlotte was the last North Carolina city on the list, placing 329th out of 371 cities.
The safest city, according to the rankings, is Brick, N.J. St. Louis ranked as the most dangerous.
