HARNETT COUNTY, N.C. — State troopers have wrapped up their investigation into the single-car wreck that killed a Harnett County deputy.
Authorities say John Strickland was not wearing his seat belt, but they do not know whether that would have saved his life.
Investigators have determined road conditions and other drivers were not a factor in the accident.
Strickland was responding to a trespassing call on Sept. 24 when he veered off the road and crashed into a tree.
