Fuel Truck Driver Charged In Johnston County Accident

JOHNSTON COUNTY, N.C. — A Johnston County Schools delivery truck driver is being charged after losing control of the vehicle he was driving Monday morning.

The Highway Patrol said Curtis Chenetz, 32, of Four Oaks, ran off the right of Covered Bridge Road. Troopers said he over-corrected and slid off to the left and struck a ditch, flipping the truck.

Chenetz was pinned inside the truck, and the fire department had to pull him out.

The truck contained diesel fuel used for school buses. No fuel spilled fom the truck.

Chenetz was transported to WakeMed where he was treated and released.He is charged with a lane control violation and failing to wear a seatbelt.
