Power Outages Affect Parts Of Durham

DURHAM, N.C. — A Duke Power equipment failure caused outages all over the Durham area.

Lights were out at several intersections along South Miami Boulevard, East Cornwallis Road and Davis Drive.

Officials said the outages were affecting homes, businesses and traffic lights. At one point, about 3,900 outages had been reported.

Officials said most of the areas in Durham have had power fully restored. The others are expected to be back later Thursday night.
