SOUTHERN PINES, N.C. — Moore County authorities are searching for two men wanted in connection with shooting a man in the head during a home break-in on Saturday.

Sheriff's deputies responded to call at about 2 p.m. Saturday at 292 Ferguson Way in Vass and found Tony Lynn Holder Jr., 23, shot, the sheriff's office said Sunday afternoon.

Holder's brother, Dustin Holder, 18, and 2-year-old son were at the residence during the shooting and had been "roughed up" and restrained with a vacuum cleaner cord, according to the sheriff's office.

Authorities said the assailants took Holder's wallet.

Crews airlifted Holder to UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill, where he was listed in critical condition Sunday afternoon.

One assailant is described as a dark-skinned black male who is stocky with a heavy build. He stands about 5 feet 9 inches and has shoulder-length dreadlocks, a mustache and a light beard. He was last seen wearing a red shirt, blue jeans with red on them and red, white and blue tennis shoes.

The second man is described as a light-skinned black male with a medium build. He stands about 5 feet 7 inches, has short hair with cornrows and a mustache. He was last seen wearing an off-white shirt with a decal on the front, blue jean shorts, white socks and white shoes with a PhatFarm logo on them.

They were last seen traveling in a medium to dark green four-door Oldsmobile Alero.
