FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A financial institution aimed at protecting Hispanic immigrants is now open.
The Latino Community Credit Union, located in Fayetteville, is the largest of its kind in the Southeast. It is the fifth branch in North Carolina.
The credit union offers Spanish-speaking residents safe and affordable financial services. It also offers services for buying homes, using checking accounts and building good credit.
According to experts, immigrants often become victims of fraud because of language barriers.
