John Travolta Will Be Part Of First Flight Centennial Celebration

RALEIGH, N.C. — The star of "Saturday Night Fever" will help North Carolina celebrate 100 years of flight.

John Travolta will serve as master of ceremonies during December's

First Flight Centennial Celebration

in Kill Devil Hills.

Travolta, a licensed pilot who has served as an ambassador for flight around the world, will fly his own Boeing 707 as part of the ceremonial fly-over Wednesday, Dec. 17.

The event starts Dec. 12.
